Today is my daddy's birthday!! Being the massive daddy's princess that I am, we arranged a fabulous day!
To start with, we started our Saturday the same as every Saturday morning.. Bootcamp! I have had an ear ache all day today, so I took it fairly easy and wore my ear warmers (sexy). After that, we popped in to my Auntie JoJo's house (that's dad's sister) where we had a naughty birthday breakfast, warm croissants and obviously cake!!
After pigging out we went home to get clean and fresh and decided on sorting through dad's mass wardrobes, this is who I get my shopping habits from! This took a good hour or two and I really wished that I vlogged because sorting through would have been great footage. I mean, seriously?! Some of his items, what was he thinking?
Now that we have made lots of space in his wardrobes, we need to fill them.. With fresh, modern, fashionable, timeless pieces. Both of our favourite thing to do.. SHOPPING.. Birthday shopping!
Starting in House of Fraser, dad tried on and bought a nice pair of Howick jeans that were in the sale. This was a good start for us, however, that's where it ends. Next stop.. GANT, my Popsy's favourite!
The staff in there today were phenomenal, we had such fun and actually, one member of staff stayed an extra half an hour because she thought it was so much fun. We had two sales assistants running around styling dad. I was sat in their gorgeously comfy armchairs with my drink that I was offered instantly on arrival, dad started with a polo and a pair of chino-like trousers. I was looking around thinking about all the things that would go perfectly to make a couple of really nice outfits!
I kept throwing in more and more options, I liked the trousers so much that I told him he had to get them in both colours, he had to then get two matching polo's and a nice 'traditional' cable knit.. And then, of course, he needed shoes! I was shouting out new options and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the sales assistant even asked if I wanted a job (I can be very persuasive when it comes to shopping 😉)
Daddy then treated me to my favourite deodorant, you are probably thinking 'WHAT?' but my favourite deodorant is Chanel.. It's soooooo good, but not an antiperspirant, so if you're quite a sweaty person then you would need to use something like Driclor before.
We went and had a lovely lunch together in the little Café, fuelling us ready for the last bit if shopping (My dad obviously had to have a milkshake- he loves them)!
We finished in TK Maxx, another of my dad's favourites. I personally am not such a huge fan because I hate rummaging! I like organisation (that's a main reason I like shopping in Gant).
After a tiring day and LOTS of bags later, I was absolutely knackered and ready for Xfactor and bed!
I have had such a lovely day with my Pops, it is so important for me, to have quality time with my family. Eating, shopping, exercising, chatting, I don't mind- I'll do it, if it's with my lovely bunch!
I'll have one of my new outfits on the blog tomorrow!
Love Life,
