Just catching up with last weeks blogs and this is where I ended up last Sunday! Harrods was looking so beautiful in all its light-up glory. All of the window displays were magical and really got me feeling warm inside. The day started off a little disastrous, we decided to drive and took a very, shall we say.. scenic route, eventually ending up at Earls Court, where we thought it would cost us about £5 for an underground ticket.. turns out it would have been cheaper to just have got the train the whole way!! |
My main purpose for this trip is because I had heard that Selfridges were offering complimentary embossing on Mulberry handbags, I obviously jumped at the chance of getting my initials put on my most treasured possession and in the heat of the moment told my brother I would give him £20 petrol to drive me (hence why I was then so annoyed at the £8.90 train ticket). This was turning out to be a rather expensive trip, but that was OK because I was getting a COMPLIMENTARY gift out of it. Well that is what I was let to believe from the Selfridges Instagram! I arrived very excited, only to find out that they only do this on brand new bags bought from Selfridges.. I had neither of these! I did ask this question before I left to go to London but although they were quick to respond to me coming up, they did not reply to my question.. Need I say, I will not be returning to Selfridges and Harrods still remains in it's number 1 spot. |
I was very Pee'd off by this point, as you can imagine. I was hungry, I hadn't got what I had gone to get AND I just had to queue for about 45 minutes to go to the toilet!! The only thing that could cheer me up was.. SHOE HEAVEN.. so off I trotted.
As soon as I step onto the fifth floor I just fill with happiness and all annoyance drifts away! I can't afford any of these shoes currently.. but what I did hear in Manolo was vital! I overheard the sales assistant talking to a customer about the black suede Manolo's, he said "it's a shame you like the black ones because they are the only ones that will always be in season, the other colours will be going on sale on 27th December"
"Josh, put the shoe down, we are coming back on 27th!!" I have a friend that knows the manager in there so I am getting her to check this out, make sure I heard right.. and if I did, I think I will be camping over night to get the two beautiful colours I have seen- Plum and Muted Lilac- they are so elegant..
These blue shoes I am holding are the ones I want to wear on my wedding day.. and yes my boyfriend does know this.. and no he is not best pleased with my eager planning, especially as I am not yet engaged!! I just call it 'being organised!'
The outfit I wore was fairly simple but a classic for Christmas with faux fur and sequins!
Hat- H&M
Turtle Neck- ASOS
Gilet- Topshop
Skirt- Apricot
Boots- River Island
