When you're younger I don't think you really realise how great a good bra is for you, you just look at pretty ones and ones that give you a good cleavage generally, (well I did!) and then I discovered Rigby & Peller, if it's good enough for Queenie then it's certainly got to be worth a try, right? I'm definitely right.. Ladies, this is seriously a must!
Rigby & Peller is most certainly a luxury brand and you are looking at about £120 for a matching set, (bra and panties) but I'm not being dramatic when I say.. You need to have a set in your life!!
I asked my lovely boyfriend for a set for my birthday in March this year, I needed to be measured to make sure I was buying the right size so we decided to make a day of it. We travelled to Chelsea in London, mainly because I wanted it to be special (they do have one more local to me, in Guildford). We went for some lunch and then went to the R&P shop. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a very polite and friendly sales assistant who booked me in for a size fitting with the manager. In the meantime we were browsing at different styles so I could let her know the type of bra I was interested in. Once I picked a couple out, we ventured downstairs to their luxurious waiting room, where we were offered a drink and chocolates! Worth the money already I say!!
While we were waiting we overheard some very to-do customers getting fitted and I started to feel a little inferior and self-conscious, thinking that I would be treated differently because I was younger and didn't have the Chelsea accent, darling! My fears were soon put at ease when the lady who was measuring me came to greet me. This member of staff was so lovely and once we were in the changing room, we got chatting and couldn't stop, we both had a half marathon coming up and were chatting away about that, forgetting that I was completely bra-less!
After her measuring me up and bringing me lots of different styles that would suit me, with my partners help, I picked the most expensive one (if you know me, you won't be surprised by this) I forgot to mention that she was appalled by my La Senza bra that I had on, as it had very little support and did not fit me correctly, even though they had fitted me in La Senza!
After writing down the names of a number of other matching sets I had tried on, my lovely boyfriend treated me to a navy set, which is so comfy.
I currently own two pairs of Rigby & Peller underwear and I try and rotate them because, I never noticed before, but my other bras just felt so uncomfortable compared to these! The third set that I fell in love with is no longer on the website, so I missed the boat on those ones- I will have to pay them another visit to see what new A/W sets they have to offer as my current ones are going to get so worn out at this rate!
I also went to a charity event, where Rigby & Peller teamed up with L.K. Bennett to support the Breast Cancer UK charity. It included a fashion show, where all shapes and sizes were modelling the collections, which was very refreshing to see. To see big companies like these doing things for charity is another added bonus and it was a lovely evening of sipping champagne, shopping and feeling boobies!
So ladies, I urge you to treat your boobies and buy one of their gorgeous, sophisticated bras and if there are any gentlemen reading this, you too have to worship you ladies boobies or you will have to suffer the consequences in later years! Heading south!
Love Life,
Emma xxx
