This time last week I was enjoying a lovely afternoon tea at the beautiful Pennyhill Park. We went for one of my friends birthday's and it was really lovely. Afternoon Tea always means one thing by the end of it.. Feeling so stuffed and partially sick! The sandwiches were delicious and the cakes were out of this world.. the scones were pretty amazing too, I have visited Pennyhill a few times but never had afternoon tea there and what made it special and different was the beautiful piano player. Something that I love about the afternoon tea is the dress code. I love getting 'poshed up'. |
I always think that you can't go wrong with a floaty skirt or a pretty midi-dress and some classy pumps. My last afternoon tea was at the Aviator for my mum's birthday and I blogged about it. Again I went for a high-waisted floaty skirt and my purple Manolo's, the time before that I went for my classic black Brian Atwood's and a Phase Eight dress. Last weekend I went for: This pretty Topshop skirt that I bought a year or two ago, it's such a great spring skirt and I love the panel towards the bottom of the design! I had a navy silk Mint Velvet top on (which I picked up in the sale) and I teamed it with this Jigsaw poncho, which I am obsessed with and it comes in lots of colours to match all outfits! This bag has been blogged about on here before, it's from LK Bennett and I added this fluff ball on that a friend bought me. My shoes have definitely featured on here before but if you've missed it, they are my favourites.. My navy Manolo's. After lots of breakfast tea, scones and girl talk it was time to go into a food coma , oh wait, it's time for a family dinner! I hope you are all having a lovely a lovely Sunday! Love Life, Emma xxx |
