In yesterday's blog I mentioned my Fenwick goodie bag I received and I want to tell you all about my favourites! I still haven't tried all the products, but so far I have tried lots of the body and skin care products and this morning I had a play around with the make-up pieces.
First thing that I tried in the bath yesterday was this Suqqu scrub, which I actually tested on my legs first as I wasn't entirely sure what the product was until I googled it.. and then I realised, it was actually for my face, nevertheless, this product was lovely, the beads in the scrub were not too harsh so would suit most skin types unless you are super sensitive. I liked the packaging, it was nice and simple and it was easy to get product out. It smells lovely, but isn't overpowering at all. I used quite a few new face products that day so I can't tell you about the results yet! Second product was the Radical instant revitalizing mask, which goes on like a gel and then when applied to your face, goes all foamy. You only have to leave this mask on for 3-5 minutes and I have to say, I really liked it, however, I did get some sensitivity from the product and my skin was red for about half an hour after! Once my skin had cooled down it did feel and look very revitalised. I was also really impressed because I got a full sized bottle of this product, which currently sells for £40 in Space NK (not bad!) so I'm feeling very satisfied. |
I thought I would leave my skin alone for the day and have a play with one of the body products. Caudalie Divine Oil, I'm telling you, you need to try this!!!!! I'm in love, it is so gorgeous and I will be buying the bigger size once I'm done with this cute 15ml. Where do I start.. It has so many uses- I can use this in the bath, as a massage oil or you can apply onto dry skin because it's a dry oil. It smells divine and doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky, but instead incredibly smooth and hydrated. I have it on right now and the smell is seriously glorious!! (You can tell by all the exclamation marks I keep using!!) That's not all.. you can use this product, not only on your body, but also your face and your hair! I'm yet to try it on my hair but I am planning on trying it this week, so I will let you know! 100ml of this product will cost you around £27.00, so you need to add this little luxury to your skin wishlist. |
Lastly, (sorry guys, going on a bit) Make-Up! Now I love my MAC lipsticks, as most my blog readers will already know, so this was probably good for me to try something new. Yesterday, I tried Lipstick Queen in the colour Catalina (£22), which is a glossy pencil. Both lipsticks that I tried were very natural and really nourishing. The second one, which I wore today was from Shiseido in colour PK 307 'perfect rouge' (£22.50). This goes on really beautifully and is slightly deeper in colour although is still perfectly natural. The third and last product that I tried was Laura Mercier foundation primer (£29), I have been meaning to buy a primer for ages, so this is perfect! When I first tried this, it felt really smooth going on, I did feel like I had to use a little more foundation over the top but perhaps I should have let it set into the skin for a little longer. It created a really dewy glow on my skin, which I loved and I've never had before from just using my Elizabeth Arden foundation. I applied this at about 9am and I have definitely noticed my foundation has lasted longer! Again, I will keep you posted on how I get on with this product. |
Let me know if any of you have tried these products and how you got on!
Sorry for going on tonight guys- Thanks for sticking with me until the end!
Love Life,
